Carpet Cleaning – Top Misconceptions Exposed

Posted on by admin

Many people misunderstand the purpose of carpet cleaning services. The professionals want to straighten out the misconceptions so everyone has a greater understanding about why carpet cleaning is performed. Here are the top four misconceptions and the truth of each situation.

1. The reason to have carpet cleaning done is to remove stains. The number one concern of many homeowners is removing the unsightly spots on their carpet. In fact, many people delay carpet cleaning until the spots drive them crazy. It is common to have clients walk around with the carpet technician and point out all the spots. While spot cleaning can certainly be performed by carpet cleaners, it is not their main function. First and foremost, carpet cleaning is for the removal of dirt and deep-set grime in your carpet to extend its life. Without regular cleaning, you carpet will wear out much faster.

2. Rentable carpet cleaners from the store are comparable to professional equipment. While the machines you can rent are effective enough at surface carpet cleaning, there is no way to power them enough to do as thorough of a job as professional equipment. If this were the case, professionals would utilize them because they are certainly more portable and less expensive! That is why carpet manufacturers are specific when they recommend truck-mounted steam cleaning instead of simply steam cleaning.

3. If the carpet does not look dirty, there is no need to vacuum. Many people simply want an excuse to not clean, and while a dirty carpet is a motivator to clean it, regular vacuuming should occur whether it looks dirty or not. Dust, hair, dirt, and dander settle deep in the carpet even if large areas of dirt are not visible. This means that, in order to help your carpet last longer, you will choose to vacuum as often as possible.

4. Carpets will collect more dirt after being cleaned than if they simply were not cleaned at all. This may have been true years ago when carpets were literally shampooed, but still only when a carpet cleaning company did not employ the right techniques. With modern methods, this is no longer a risk as long as you hire a professional, trusted company. With that said, it is still worthwhile to buy carpet protector every few times you have your carpets cleaned. This will reapply the protecting agents that most carpets come with today, helping them fight staining and wear for a few more years to come.

The Importance of Regular Cleaning

Posted on by admin

Whether you installed the carpets in your home or you moved into a home that already had wall-to-wall carpeting, you must know that carpet is an expensive though worthwhile investment.  If you were around when the carpet was installed, you know all the work and material that goes into having it put in.  This combination makes for a quite a pricey textile.  A typical mid-range carpet installation in San Diego can easily run upwards of $2,000.  In some other Southern California locations, it is not rare to be charged $6,000 for a carpet install.  Clearly, then, it is important that you preserve the life of your carpet by investing in carpet cleaners San Diego.

This kind of investment is far less than having new carpets installed because they have been worn beyond their limit.  Did you know that dirty carpets wear out much faster than clean ones?  The dirt that becomes wedged between carpet fibers cuts through them as you walk over the carpet, wearing down the pile and causing it to look more worn than if it was cleaned regularly. You may have noticed the larger fibers that get vacuumed up along with the dirt, dust and hair if you have a bag-less vacuum.  This is because the damage that has already been done has separated some fibers from the rest of the carpet altogether.  This can be prevented with carpet cleaners San Diego services.

When it is suggested that you should clean your carpet “regularly,” how often does that really mean?  Most manufacturers of carpets suggest that you employ professional carpet cleaners San Diego every year to year and a half.  Some people argue that their carpets still look clean and do not need a professional treatment this time around.  When you realize the damage the unseen dirt is doing, you will understand the importance of regular professional carpet cleaning.

Professionals offer a deeper, more effective cleaning than you could accomplish on your own.  The reason for this is because they have the right training and the ideal equipment for the job.  The investment that carpet cleaners San Diego make on the equipment they use equates to several thousand dollars, which is part of what the fees they charge go toward paying for.  With a well-known carpet cleaner in the San Diego area, you will already know what to expect before they get to the door.  A company whose positive reputation precedes them is important as you select the right service to do business with.

Now, the only catch is that you gotta return them boots to my trailer within two weeks wether yur carpet’s dry ur not. I need them boots back before my next job! Now, if my truck don’t start (which happens a lot), then I won’t be

Now, if for some strange reason you should want your carpit cleaned by a real professional company, and if you don’t mind payin’ a little extre’, then you need ta call AYC Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning. I don’t know how them fellers do it, but they seem to know eva’ thang there is about carpit cleanin’. Why Do Carpet Manufacturers Recommend Having Your Carpet Steam Cleaned Every 18 to 24 Months? – Care for Your Carpet

Posted on by admin

When people read that carpet manufacturers recommend that you have your carpets steam cleaned regularly, they tend to dismiss this advice as either an attempt by the carpeting industry to get consumers to spend more money or an attempt to absolve themselves of any responsibility once the carpet starts to wear, since hardly anybody actually gets their carpets cleaned as often as they ought. People don’t want to spend any more money on the maintenance of their carpets than is absolutely necessary, and having your carpets steam cleaned can be expensive. So why do carpet manufacturers recommend having your carpet steam cleaned every 18 to 24 months?

Why do carpet manufacturers recommend having your carpet steam cleaned every 18 to 24 months? One reason is that, the longer you wait to have it cleaned, the harder it will be to really get it clean. It makes sense that, if you don’t vacuum regularly, your carpets will get dirtier. The dirt on your carpet will have more of an opportunity to get deep into your carpet fibers, which will make it more difficult to remove later. This same principle also applies to steam cleaning. The longer you wait to steam clean your carpet, the harder it will be to get all of that ground-in dirt out of the carpet fibers.

Why do carpet manufacturers recommend having your carpet steam cleaned every 18 to 24 months? Deep cleaning your carpet can also help to keep your carpet in better condition. As foot traffic does its damage to the high-traffic areas of your carpet, the carpet pile gets tamped down and damaged. It gets tangled up in itself and can become matted, which will cause irreparable damage to your carpet. By having your carpet steam cleaned regularly, you can prevent these fibers from becoming matted and can prolong the life of your carpet.

Why do carpet manufacturers recommend having your carpet steam cleaned every 18 to 24 months? It’s not to get you to spend more money or to absolve themselves of responsibility if you don’t do as they say. It really is to prolong the life of your carpet and to save you money in the long run. You just need to choose a professional carpet cleaner that can do a thorough, high-quality job for you. AYC Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning, Inc. has the experience and the reputation that can meet your needs.

How Regular Vacuuming is Important – Maintain Your Carpets

Posted on by admin

The Importance of Regular Vacuuming!

Getting your carpets cleaned can be something of an ordeal. You have to move around your furniture, possibly even take a day or two off of work in order to let people into your home to do the cleaning. The more often you have to get this done, the more of a pain it is. But some people fail to see that there’s a clear correlation between how often they need to get their carpets cleaned and whether or not they vacuum regularly. It may come as a surprise to find that many people don’t understand how regular vacuuming is important to the life of their carpets.

Understanding how regular vacuuming is important doesn’t require much specific knowledge about carpet care. It’s common sense that it’s good for you to vacuum your carpets to keep them clear of any debris. Unfortunately, people don’t think as often about the possible adverse effects of failing to vacuum regularly. The longer dirt stays on your carpet, the more likely it is that it will get ground into your carpet fibers. The deeper it gets into your carpet fibers, the more difficult it will be to get them out, until a simple vacuuming just won’t cut it anymore.

If you don’t understand how regular vacuuming is important, it could cost you a lot of time and money. It’s far easier to vacuum once a week than to have to deal with the hassle of calling in a professional carpet cleaning service. And vacuum technology continues to improve all the time, making vacuums that are easier to use and more effective at the same time. Instead of procrastinating, think about how much money, time, and hassle you could be saving by vacuuming your carpets regularly. If it makes it easier, you can even vacuum different parts of the house on different days.

But if you took too long to realize how regular vacuuming is important to your carpets, you should call in the experts to come and clean your carpets for you. AYC Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning, Inc. has years of experience and a stellar reputation in the industry for the quality of their work. They work with state-of-the-art equipment to get your carpets as clean as possible. And they will treat you and your carpets with the utmost courtesy and care. That might be all it takes to encourage you to start taking better care of your carpet.

The Importance of Placing Mats at Each Entrances That Collect 8 Foot Steps – Protection for High Traffic Areas

The Importance of Placing Mats at Each Entrances That Collect 8 Foot Steps – Protection for High Traffic Areas

Posted on by admin

Area rugs

It’s common knowledge that high-traffic areas in your home will show more evidence of wear. If you keep your carpet long enough, you’ll clearly be able to see the paths that foot traffic will wear down into your carpet. These paths also bear evidence of whatever dirt people who enter your home are tracking in. Because these high-traffic areas wear down faster, you may find yourself needing to replace your carpet earlier than you expected because just a few areas are wearing down too fast. This emphasizes the importance of placing mats at each entrances that collect 8 foot steps.

The importance of placing mats at each entrances that collect 8 foot steps is due to the importance of giving your carpet extra protection in those high-traffic areas. Any area that gets hit with 8 or more foot steps in a given day is prone to wear down faster than other areas of your carpet. By setting a rug or mat down at the entrances to these areas, you can ensure that the carpet in this area are protected from accelerated damage. Instead of damaging your carpet directly, the mats or rugs will bear the brunt of the damage. And it’s much easier to replace a rug than it is to replace an entire area of carpet.

Another reason for the importance of placing mats at each entrances that collect 8 foot steps is that, when people enter a home, this is when they bring in the most dirt and debris from outside. If they step onto a mat instead of stepping directly onto the carpet, the mats collect all the dirt from their shoes instead of your carpet. This will keep your carpet cleaner for much longer, and will make sure that it doesn’t get stained. And it’s also easier to clean a mat than to have to pay to have your entire carpet cleaned.

If you didn’t learn about the importance of placing mats at each entrances that collect 8 foot steps in time, you may need to call in some professional carpet cleaners to clean your carpets. AYC Carpet & Upholstery Cleaners have many years of experience behind them, as well as the best in training. You can be sure that they’ll do a stellar job on your carpets, and that they’ll be professional and thorough. And, once your carpets are spic and span again, you can buy some rugs for those high-traffic entrances.

The Disadvantages of Using a Store Bought Spotter Versus Using an Approved CRI Spotter – Not All Spotters are Created Equal

The Disadvantages of Using a Store Bought Spotter Versus Using an Approved CRI Spotter – Not All Spotters are Created Equal

Posted on by admin

We live in the age of “do it yourself.” It’s become more popular than ever to undertake home improvement on your own, and there is a bevy of products invading your local home improvement stores that claim that they will help you to do a professional job all by yourself. But many of these products are just cheap knock-offs that look like the real thing. Take carpet spot cleaners, for example. The disadvantages of using a store bought spotter versus using an approved CRI spotter are many, but most people are unaware of the differences, so they buy an inferior product in their ignorance.

The Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) is committed to researching facts about carpets and rugs, including how to maintain and care for them and what the best methods and tools are for caring for them. The CRI is well aware of the disadvantages of using a store bought spotter versus using an approved CRI spotter. The CRI recommends certain spotters over others because they are more powerful and more specifically designed to remove spots than store bought spotters. They have been proven effective and have more going for them than the mere fact that they are small and easy to use.

Of the disadvantages of using a store bought spotter versus using an approved CRI spotter is that they aren’t really spot cleaners, per se. The store bought versions of these spotters are often little more than smaller versions of hot water extraction vacuums. While this type of vacuum is perfectly adequate for general dirt removal, spots and stains require special attention, and only CRI approved machines can really provide the performance that these store bought spotters claim to provide. CRI approved spotters may be more expensive, but you get what you pay for, and they provide excellent cleaning capabilities along with their portability.

Once you’re aware of the disadvantages of using a store bought spotter versus using an approved CRI spotter, you’ll be sure to opt for the CRI spotter. Even though the store bought spotters are cheaper, there’s no point in spending any money on something that doesn’t work the way it should. If you’re going to buy a spotter, then you should buy one that can do what you need it to do, and that’s providing an extra measure of cleaning to tough stains and spots that just need a little more power.
