It’s obvious that if you have a major water intrusion into your home, whether from the inside or outside of the home, the water and it’s effects need to be cleaned and dried to mitigate the loss and repair the damage. Water left in these areas to long will cause secondary damage to the surfaces but also is a perfect breeding ground for mold. Mold will start to grow between 48-72 hours after the water intrusion so it is important to dry the wet areas as soon as possible.
